Community guidelines
Last updated 29 September 2026
MassageNearMe is for professional, therapeutic massage only. These guidelines keep clients and therapists safe and respected.
Zero tolerance for sexual services
Requesting, offering or hinting at sexual services, sexual contact, or “extras” — in a booking, a message, a review, a photo or during a session — is not allowed. Accounts involved are permanently removed, and we may report it to the police.
Everyone
- Treat each other with respect. No harassment, threats, insults or discrimination.
- Be on time, and let the other person know early if plans change.
- Keep bookings and payments on MassageNearMe — it's how we protect both of you.
- Use each other's phone number and address only for the booking.
- Either person can end a session at any time if they feel unsafe.
Clients
- You must be 18 or older.
- Give an accurate address and provide a safe, clean space for the session.
- Tell your therapist about injuries, pregnancy, allergies or medical conditions before you start.
- The person booking should be the person receiving the massage, unless agreed with the therapist.
Therapists
- Only claim qualifications and experience you really have. Use recent photos of yourself.
- Keep good hygiene, bring clean linen and professional equipment, and keep clients appropriately covered (draped).
- Explain what you'll do and get the client's agreement before you start; respect a request to stop or change pressure.
- Don't treat conditions you're not trained for — recommend a doctor instead.
- Honour the bookings you accept.
Reporting a problem
If someone breaks these guidelines, use Reporton their profile or on the booking. Reports go straight to our team and are kept confidential — the person you report isn't told who reported them. If you are in danger, leave and call 112 first. For anything else, use the “Report a problem” option in the app.
What happens when guidelines are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may give a warning, hide reviews or photos, suspend the account, or remove it permanently. Serious incidents may be reported to the authorities.
