Terms of Service
Last updated 29 September 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and MassageNearMe (operated by Synvora Technologies). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them.
1. What MassageNearMe is
MassageNearMe is an online marketplace that connects clients with independent massage therapists in Nigeria. We provide the platform — profiles, booking, payment collection and support. Therapists are independent professionals, not our employees, and they are responsible for the sessions they provide.
2. Who can use it
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- The information you give us (name, phone number, address, qualifications) must be true and kept up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done through your account.
- One person, one account. Accounts can't be sold or shared.
3. Therapists
- We review therapist profiles before they appear in search, but approval is not a guarantee of a therapist's skills, qualifications or conduct.
- Therapists set their own services, prices and working hours, and must honour bookings they accept. The minimum price for any session is ₦40,000.
- MassageNearMe charges therapists a 40% commission on each booking. The therapist receives the other 60% of the booking price, paid after the session. Joining and listing a profile are free.
- Therapists must hold any qualifications they claim and follow our Community guidelines.
- Bookings made through MassageNearMe must be paid through MassageNearMe. Arranging to take payment for these clients outside the platform is not allowed.
4. Booking and payment
- A booking starts as a request. The therapist can accept or decline it; unanswered requests expire.
- Once accepted, the client has up to 24 hours (and no later than one hour before the session) to pay. The booking is confirmed once at least the deposit — half the price — is received.
- Clients pay MassageNearMe, never the therapist directly. We pay the therapist their 60% share after the session.
- The therapist's phone number and the client's address are shared with each other only after payment.
- Cancellations and refunds follow our Cancellations & refunds policy.
5. Health and safety
Massage is not a substitute for medical care. If you are pregnant, injured, or have a medical condition, check with a doctor first and tell your therapist before the session. Either party may end a session at any time if they feel unsafe.
6. Reviews and content
Reviews must be honest and about a real session. We may hide reviews or photos that are false, abusive or break these terms. By uploading photos or writing reviews you let us show them on MassageNearMe.
7. Not allowed
- Requesting or offering sexual services of any kind.
- Harassment, threats, discrimination or abusive behaviour.
- Fake accounts, fake bookings or fake reviews.
- Misusing other people's contact details, or trying to break or overload the site.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and report serious incidents to the police.
8. Our responsibility
We work hard to keep MassageNearMe safe and running, but we provide it “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for the acts of therapists or clients, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Nigerian consumer protection law, including the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.
9. Changes and law
We may update these terms; we'll show the new date at the top and tell you in the app about important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
